Communication and Conflict Using DISC 1

May 30 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

In the first part of this course, participants are introduced to foundational concepts of communication, with a particular focus on understanding and applying the DISC model of personality, developed by Dr. William Marston. Each participant will receive a comprehensive 22-page personalized report that outlines their unique DISC profile, highlighting their strengths, communication needs, ideal work environment, areas for growth, and other pertinent aspects. This self-awareness forms the bedrock for improving personal and professional interactions.

  • Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the DISC model, including the characteristics of each profile (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness) and how these traits manifest in behavior and communication styles.
  • Participants will identify their own strengths, weaknesses, communication needs, and growth areas.
  • Participants will learn to recognize the DISC profiles and communication needs of their colleagues and team members to learn how to effective interact with people based on their behavioral preferences.
  • Participants will apply DISC insights to their leadership style, enhancing their ability to lead diverse teams more effectively, while creating an environment to maximize productivity.
